'Dawn' has that modern uncanny 'something is off' indie vibe to it. Gives me a feeling of respite from the danger, sort of like a 'refuge' of sorts. Hard to put into words I s'pose, but it definitely fits the picture here. Nice work!

Mystical wonder! Big and sometimes overwhelming, like the atmosphere is very heavy.

ZaazNG responds:

Thank you so much! Definitely went for a very atmospheric approach with this one :)

The baby. The baby. The baby. Oops. Getting Other M flashbacks...

This song is awesome though!

Funky beat. Pretty creative stuff there :D

Floppy goodness!

Reminds me of Axiom Verge 1. 1:10 is an awesome 16 bit Rock segment thar. I could be wrong, but it kinda has a Lufia 2 feel to it. And maybe a bit of Maximum Carnage!! I always appreciate the slower tempo metal-grunge of the 16 bit 90's.

Catchy arp work! Nice beat and vox synth. Kinda like Capcom meets SNK lol.

One of my favourites from you this year, unless I'm in some weird timewarp and it was actually from 2021. That dulcimer sure is sexy! Nice rag-tag piano stuff and the tempo changes are badass :)

EDIT) So I had a herp-a-derp moment. Read the comment and looked at the time posted. Energy drink crash LOL. Real bad addiction ug...

It could also because 2-3 months ago feel like a year now. Time waits for no man :P

Bertn1991 responds:

No worries. I'm pretty sure my blood type is coffee at this point. Maybe I'll graduate to energy drinks someday. And oh yes, you must grab the FFVIII soundfont sometime if you haven't already. That dulcimer is fire. I don't feel bad about taking it, since Uematsu just casually lifted the sounds from a keyboard he had.

This track is from 2022, I assure you. Time is like the bad guy in slasher movies, approaching slowly, but always closing in no matter how fast you run. There's 12% chance my analogy made any sense, but I'm sticking with it lol.

Heard 'Triumph of the Spirits' on your YouTube! Very fantastic JRPG styled emotional piece! Kinda like Wild Arms. Nice work man!

Bertn1991 responds:

Thanks so much! Your thoughts are always appreciated, friend. Ah, I'm gonna really get into Wild Arms one of these days.

235 tracks insofar!! Wow you are one productive mofo. I wish I was I had that level of energy hahaha. Love this Earthbound vibe. Excellent synthwork. Nice bends. The 2:24 mark is especially cool, hearkens to some awesome animes back in the day.
