In the future, I'd lay off the qualitative remarks and let the listener decide. Nevertheless, this IS a sock-knocking-off ambient tune. Might wanna boost the master or something. Seems a bit on the quiet side.

Hyenaedon responds:

I apologize for any loss of socks due to repeated listening to this track. Anyways thanks for the review! I did boost it a bit actually but any more might have added too much distortion, i’ll have to see about boosting each instrument a bit next time. ;)

Is this Omnisphere stuff? Really awesome textures here. Gating is good. I like that you didn't use risers and lowers every damn time a transition happens. Too many artists focus on that shit nowadays.

U know, the intro segment and 3:38 alone would make a GREAT BG for a videogame, like a Menu Screen or a Town theme. Or a calm moment in a horror game ;)

MurkodenMusic responds:

The DAW that I use does not include Omnisphere, but maybe I got close to it's sound. Textures and atmosphere helped a lot in this track, especially during the introduction, outro, and intermission.
Risers, sweepers, and other transitional sounds of the like are fun to have, but sometimes you just got let the track breathe a bit more, and let it run it's own solo work.
It's awesome that you feel some of it could be included into game in some sort of way, thank you for that.
Loved every minute that I spent working on this track, and I can't give enough "thank yous" to imply how happy I am knowing that people like my work. Thanks again for your interests and feedback. :D

Akira Yamaoka sounds right here. Definitely sounds like a David Lynchian WTF-scape, which is a good thing. Then 1:08 goes into more normal territory. Boohoo. Oh well; it's very well produced.

2:00 yay we return to spooky dream land. Good low drone at 2:15. And it gets even better at the 2:45 area. As the waveform suggests 3:30 area is back to normal-ish land, but it's certainly more glitchy and wtf-y. Great effects all around.

I like that 4:25 helps the listener wind down and relax again. Love the rollercoaster energy this tune gives off.

"Head Forth" is a very creative tune and it's very apparent that it took a lot of work to put together. Nice!

MurkodenMusic responds:

Thanks for giving constructive feedback! Doesn't happen very often.
Yeah, I know, the drops are a little "eh," but I nearly had no ideas, and this idea almost was going to be replaced with something probably a lot worse, aha. I'm glad you like the more chill part of the song. I like them too; even when it's less "impact-ful," it still holds a feeling of action if you will.
The song in it's entirely pretty much is an audio roller-coaster, I'm glad you find it interesting.
I am also happy that you recognize the effort put into it. Thanks once more for your feedback and liking what I've put out. Cheers. :)

Reminds me of Dragon's Dogma. Very good and emotional.

Great evolution, everything builds up wonderfully.

Very organic and realistic sounding. Beautiful piece for sure. Reminds me of Terranigma.

Man I wish I had this level of sound quality. Nice Terminator-sounding Storm drums. Works real well. Loops fairly well too. Great production on every front.

0:10-0:52 was a tad long for me and almost made me skate by this gem, but thankfully I stayed and I be lovin' this insofar... Kinda has a dreamscape vibe to this. Or a fever dream. Very well done one at that. It's good. Clever gate effects too and those chiptune FX...damn son, so grood. Great and good.

That bass REALLY helps glue this together and keep it coherent too.

Ends really well too.

MurkodenMusic responds:

Thanks so much! I agree, the introduction was a tad long. I tried to add little details to keep the listener intrigued until the main part of the track, but I guess that did not go very well. I'm glad you stuck by! I wanted to add little intricate effects to spice it up, and I wanted to also work on my bass work. I am also glad you enjoyed the enjoy.
Again, thank you for listening, and for your feedback. :)

I think it ticks all the boxes nicely. Fairly well produced, seems like the wap wap wap chord things are clipping out the mix a tad, but it may be just how they sound. Otherwise it's perfect.

TomWillson responds:

Thanks a lot for your feedback, it's important to me.🌒
